Kids' Eating Disorders Survey (KEDS)

Kids' Eating Disorders Survey (KEDS): Developed from the Eating Disorder Symptoms Inventory (ESI).  KEDS was developed to address the marked differences in cognitive development between children and adolescents, it uses a simpler and shorter questionnaire, answers are "yes", "no" and "don't know". There are 14 items on the questionnaire, which include a set of 8 drawings of boys and 8 drawings of girls, which range from very underweight to very overweight. The child is asked to circle the drawing that looks most like them, in order to assess weight and body dissatisfaction. The measure was designed to be used within the general population as a screening devise.
