Cramps, tetany

Cramps, tetany: Intermittent paroxysmal muscle spasms that can develop secondary to purging as well as: insufficient nutrition, caloric intake and mineral and vitamin deficiency. Potassium deficiency can contribute to tetany, and muscle weakening can evolve into proximal muscle atrophy. Associated symptoms include: nervousness, numbness and tingling in the arms and legs.
