Satiety is the state of feeling full. A variety of hormonal and neuro-regulatory deviations appear correlated to anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. Since satiety signals are abnormal in patients, it is to be expected that patients will be resistant to refeeding efforts. Normal hunger and satiety biofeedback cues are typically disordered in patients in the early stages of treatment.
