Hypnotherapy, Guided Image Therapy, Relaxation Therapy

Hypnotherapy is sometimes used in the treatment of eating disorders, though there is no research to establish efficacy. The hypnotist may use techniques such as Age Regression Therapy and Parts Therapy. Guided imagery is a form of self-hypnosis in which positive suggestion is used to help release a negative self-image.  Also see Experiential therapies.
