Mandometer Method: A private treatment method developed in Sweden using a biofeedback device (Mandometer) that teaches patients how to normalize eating behavior and their perception of satiety. There are now six Mandometer Method clinics (Sweden, San Diego, Netherlands, Australia). Founder Dr Cecilia Bergh claims to have brought more than 500 patients into remission since opening in 1993. The method's effectiveness was supported by a randomized controlled study in 2002. See film.
