Multiple-Family Day Treatment (MFDT) is a more intensive form of multifamily therapy, well suited for treatment of adolescents, that brings five patients and their families together in a group therapy. It aims at helping parents rediscover their own resources and take an active role in their child's recovery. The group is both the context for joint problem solving and a source of support when things seem unbearably difficult.
