Targeted Behavior (TB)

Targeted Behavior (TB):  A term utilized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). referring to a specific behavior/symptom that is being focused on in treatment. Specific examples of eating disorder targeted behaviors include: restricted eating, binge eating, purging, compensatory exercise and/or self-harming behaviors.
