The treatment team is a comprehensive team of providers assembled to help eating disordered patients and their families through the recovery process. A treatment team can consist of: an individual therapist (psychologist, social worker, counselor), a Maudsley therapist, a family therapist, group therapists/facilitators, a psychiatrist, a primary care physician, an adolescent medicine specialist, a dietitian/nutritionist, as well as others, i.e. nurses, art therapist, etc. See NEDA toolkit for assistance in interviewing potential treatment team providers.
